It is sad but true that occasionally Orientals do need to be rehomed. There may be a whole range of reasons or changes of circumstances that make this necessary. The Welfare Officer keeps a list of cats looking for new homes and also a list of prospective new owners. Donations to our Cat Welfare Fund are always gratefully received as we try to ensure that all our rescue cats are fully vaccinated, neutered and in good general health before they go to their new home.

OLDER ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR CATS

PLEASE GIVE THEM THE CHANCE OF A NEW HOME

We often have older cats that need a new home. This is through no fault of their own but often they are overlooked in favour of cats up to the age of around 6 yrs. However giving an older cat a home can be very rewarding, they are double the love and half the trouble of younger cats and still at the ages of 6 upwards have many years to live. Gizmo a young half Oriental neutered Black boy with a really super friendly personality. He needs a home without other male cats, but his owner thinks he would live happily with other neutered females, he loves the outdoor life and hunting whilst still being a very loving boy. So it would suit him best to have a country home where he can have loads of opportunity to go out in safety. He is a really huge cat, not fat but a big type and a stunning handsome chap.
